Reading Group
The Reading Group next meets on Monday 26th January at 7.30 pm in the Vicarage. We will be considering the issues raised in the biography entitled 'In the Eye of the Storm' by Gene Robsinon. Books cost £7 and are available from the internet. Please have a word with Fr Simon if you would like to order one – or just read it and come along! Refreshments provided.
Fund raising – 6 weeks in!
Following Father Simon’s appeal to raise money for disadvantaged and needy children in third world countries, it is good to report that £160 has been raised through sales and raffles organised by Heather Hind ably assisted by members of the Sunday School, and by the efforts of the ladies who bake. Thanks to everyone for responding so generously to this urgent and worthwhile cause.
To mark the Advent season (and to give the bakers a rest), cakes will be off-sales during December but will resume again in January. If you enjoy baking (or feel like a challenge!) please volunteer your services, or, if you are willing to provide funds to cover the cost of providing the cakes etc please step forward. The more the merrier!

Bach and Beyond
Copies of the CD of Organ Chorales recorded in St Matthew's by Andrew Linn and Viva Voce may be bought from local record shops or direct from Regent Records. Alternatively, copies may be obtained in church for £10 each (a saving on retail prices!). Your hunt for the ideal Christmas present ends here!
Ministry of Healing
Mass with the Ministry of Healing will take place at 6.30 pm on Friday 19th December.
Masses Monday - Friday 12:30 p.m Saturday 8:30 a.m
